Climate change is having a dramatic effect on the planet and people’s lives. Governments are too slow to enact change through renewable energy. We need action rather than ‘planning to act’. So that’s what Circular Energy did in 2020. Not just for the planet, but for the benefit of people, communities and our future.

Our vision is for a sustainable energy future powered by community energy. Today, we are putting our energy into making it happen as soon as possible, where:
- People are brought together through Community Energy,
- Businesses, local governments and the corporate sector can offer their communities renewable energy that is sustainable, cheaper and more reliable,
- Everything is transparent, so people know where their energy is coming from, and how much the community is using,
- A portion of the revenue is directed back into the community in the form of worthwhile projects, and helping businesses and organisations transition into sustainable energy,
- The establishment of a Community Energy marketplace allows communities the flexibility of trading excess energy back to their supplier or other communities.
Together, we can build the energy market of tomorrow, by:
- Creating a circular energy economy, connecting businesses and communities across the national energy market,
- Creating more energy cohesion in local communities through our virtual power plant,
- Designing and building community solar and battery projects, further reducing the costs of renewable energy in local communities.

Mix & Matching
Circular Energy partner with a mix of small-scale, local generators of renewable energy – from wine makers with solar panels to farmers with wind farms – all generating excess energy.
We help establish Collectives – local governments, businesses and organisations – to facilitate sustainable energy and support community projects.

Matching renewable resources with communities builds resilience through better energy management, creating the flexibility to trade. In essence, we’re establishing a Community Energy marketplace, made up of little renewable energy networks trading for the benefit of communities and the planet – a clean sustainable world for future generations.
